Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: October 7, 2026
Short links and QR codes are a favorite tool of scammers, and one bad code can get our shared domain blocklisted, which breaks every honest customer's printed codes. This policy says what you may not do with Guaranteed QR, how we find out, and what we do about it. It is part of the Terms of Service of Orange Arc LLC.
Do not point a code at
- Phishing or credential theft: fake sign-in, payment, delivery or government pages, or anything that impersonates a brand, an agency or a person.
- Malware or unwanted software: downloads the visitor did not ask for, drive-by exploits, fake updates, or software that hides what it does.
- Scams and fraud: fake stores, advance-fee schemes, fake prizes, fake tech support, fake charities, counterfeit goods, investment or cryptocurrency scams.
- Illegal content under US law or the law of the place you operate, including child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, and sales of illegal goods or services.
- Content you have no right to use: pirated media, infringing copies, or logos and trademarks you are not allowed to use, including in the QR design itself.
- Harassment, threats or doxxing, or any content whose purpose is to hurt a specific person.
- Premium-rate numbers or paid text-message services through tel: or sms: codes, unless the price is stated on the printed material next to the code.
Do not use the Service to
- Deceive the person who scans. The destination must be what the printed material says it is. Do not switch a destination to something unrelated after printing (bait-and-switch), and do not show one page to people and another to our safety checks (cloaking).
- Spread spam: codes on unsolicited mail or mass messages, or stickers placed on property you do not own, including over someone else's QR code.
- Defeat screening: redirect chains built to hide the final destination, codes pointing at another short link of ours, or destinations on private network addresses.
- Evade our limits or decisions, including by opening additional accounts after a block or suspension.
- Interfere with the Service: probing, overloading, scraping, or using someone else's account.
Sexual content
Codes may not point to sexually explicit content, whether on our shared domain gtdqr.com or on a domain you connect. Nor may they point to prostitution, escort or other paid sexual services, or to anything that promotes sex trafficking. Sexual content involving minors is reported as described below. We aim to disable a code that leads to intimate images shared without consent within 48 hours of a valid request.
Custom domains
Connect only subdomains you control. Do not connect a hostname that belongs to someone else or that impersonates a brand. Codes on your own domain are subject to this policy exactly like codes on ours.
How we enforce this
The Service is built to act on these rules, automatically and by hand:
- Screening before a destination goes live. Every web destination is checked against Google Web Risk when you save it. A listed destination is refused. If the check cannot run, the change waits.
- Re-checks. Destinations are re-checked daily for a week after a change and weekly after that. A destination that becomes unsafe later is blocked, and you are emailed.
- Public reports. Anyone can report a code at guaranteedqr.com/report, and anyone can see where a code leads without visiting it by adding "+" to the end of its address. We review every report.
- Blocking a code. A blocked code stops redirecting and shows a "blocked" page. It cannot be edited or deleted and keeps its slot.
- Suspending an account. For serious or repeated abuse we suspend the account: all of its codes stop redirecting and nothing can be changed.
- Refusing or removing a domain that breaks this policy.
- Keeping evidence. We keep every destination a code has had for a year, even after the code is deleted, so switching a destination back does not erase the record. For a blocked code we keep it longer.
- Reporting. When we learn of apparent child sexual abuse material, child sex trafficking or online enticement of a minor, we block the code, preserve the records and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We may report other illegal activity to law enforcement.
- Repeat infringers. In appropriate circumstances we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Purchases used for abuse are not refunded, unless the law requires a refund. We may act without warning where people are at risk. We tell you what we did and why when it is safe and lawful to do so.
Reporting abuse
Report a code at guaranteedqr.com/report, or email abuse@guaranteedqr.com. Include the code's address (gtdqr.com/... or the customer's own domain) or the page it opened, what was wrong, and where you found the code. Leave an email address if you want a reply. We aim to act on confirmed phishing and malware within one business day. Trademark complaints come here too; copyright notices go to our designated agent (Terms of Service, section 12).
Appeals
If your code was blocked or your account suspended by mistake, reply to the email you received, or write to support@guaranteedqr.com from your account's address. Tell us what the destination is and why the block is wrong. Appeals are reviewed by a person.
Changes
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. We post the new version here with a new effective date; changes apply from that date.
