How to make it
Enter the network name (SSID) exactly as your phone shows it, including capital letters.
Enter the password and pick the security type. Most routers use WPA/WPA2/WPA3.
Check the green "scan-tested" line, then download the PNG for print or the SVG for a designer.
Print it at least 1.2 in (3 cm) wide and put it where guests wait.
Questions
Do Wi-Fi QR codes work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The iPhone camera (iOS 11 and later) and most Android cameras offer to join the network.
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The old code stops working, because the password is inside it. Make a new one and reprint it.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
Anyone who scans the code can join, as with a password on a card. Use a guest network in public places.
Does a Wi-Fi QR code expire?
No. It works as long as the network name and password stay the same.
